QUIRKS
Vae loves dressing for the occasion, and she'll probably have a different hairstyle or outfit every time you see her! She loves to put effort into her appearance and mix things up.
Often fidgets, walks around aimlessly, or shifts position often when talking to someone.
Sweet tooth. Prefers sweet things over salty or savory any day. Her favorite items on the menu are the "Cup of Comfort", "Entirely Milk Tea", and "Hand-Held Clouds". She often steals the Sykon Cookies they serve with hot cocoa from the cookie jar on a slow night.
Has no idea how to cook any of the food she serves, but likes to eat...
Works at a Knight-themed novelty bar where the employees dress up in armor every night.
CHARACTER BACKSTORY
After a life of solitude, Vae's parents made the rare decision to emerge from the deep valleys of Orthard's mountainous eastern regions. Shortly after they arrived in the Western land of Gridania, Vae was born, and predominantly raised in a culture very different from that of her parents. Although she knows what her parents have taught her of her Ra'en culture, growing up in Eorzea has led to her having a predominantly Western upbringing.After growing up and becoming a newly young adult, Vae made the decision of her own to travel to Ishgard and become a mercenary and adventurer herself shortly after the Dragonsong War ended and Ishgard opened its doors to other countries.
HOOKS
Although Vae doesn't share much of her own life unless actively prompted, she loves to listen and learn about the world around her from other people. If you want to get her talking about herself, you might want to bring up one of these topics...
Orthardian Culture: Vae grew up in Eorzea, and often feels a little disconnected from her parents' culture. She loves to take opportunities to meet and learn about those who grew up in the country her parents did.
Friendly Faces: Vae is a great listener and usually found very approachable by others. She tends to gravitate towards those who have different perspectives in life than her own experiences, and loves to learn about topics she doesn't know much about.
Robotics, Machinery, Adventure, and Combat: Among learning other classic Ishgardian Mercenary professions such as lancework, swordfighting, and red magic use, Vae is a bit of a jack of all trades when it comes to fighting styles. She loves learning about those who also share her similar interest and the jobs that they do as well.
